Advent Potluck and Teaching Series

6-8 pm. We will be using Visio Divina, or “sacred seeing”, where we will use visual art to enter the Advent story and explore how God is preparing us anew this year for God’s coming into our hearts and lives.

Noon Recital Series: Advent, Organ, Piano and Silver Bells

Join us for a Noon recital. Immerse yourself in Music of the season, composed by Niles, Lau, Hayes and Mulet. Featuring: Silver Bells Handbell Choir, Jane Ann Wilson (piano), Mary McIntire (soprano) and Benjamin Ehrlich (organ). A life-long collaborative musician, Ben has served 8 years as Organist for Holy Comforter, and the last two seasons as accompanist for the Colorado Choir.

Music rehearsals have resumed this fall. We have several choirs you can choose from.

  • Silver Singers rehearse 11:00 am-noon followed by a Brown Bag lunch.

  • Silver Bells rehearse 11:00 am-noon.

  • Joyful Ring rehearse 6:30 - 7:15 pm.

  • Sanctuary Choir rehearse 7:30 - 9:00 pm.

Adult Bible Study

*Schedule Change: Adult Bible Study will NOT meet this Tuesday, November 25 (Thanksgiving Week)**

Beginning the following Tuesday, December 2, 9:30am, Adult Bible Study will begin the book of Jeremiah Written during a time of political turmoil and spiritual decline, the book weaves together Jeremiah’s call from God and his sermons, symbolic actions, and personal laments, warning the people of Judah that their unfaithfulness would lead to Jerusalem’s destruction and their exile. Ultimately, Jeremiah is a book about the victory of God's love and grace, as the prophet also revealed promises of restoration and a future covenant, offering hope even in the midst of devastating loss.

All adults are welcome to participate on Tuesday mornings, 9:30-11:00 am, in Maglaras Hall If you would like more information about the Bible Study or would like to be added to the group email distribution list, contact Bible Study.

Centering Prayer

Opportunities to Volunteer for the St Francis Center

St. Francis Center is seeking volunteers to help individuals experiencing homelessness at their day shelter. Join other Holy Comforter members on the first Sunday of every month from 8 am to noon to help with the following:

  • Washing and Folding laundry

  • Sorting Donations

  • Stocking Clothing room

  • Distributing mail

  • Assisting with storage

  • and more
