Learning: For Children
Our children are an important part of our church family, and we are working hard to provide fun and meaningful ways for them to learn about their church and God's love for them. We also think it's important to support the parents of our children and offer them opportunities for fellowship with other parents within the congregation. Please come join us! Visitors are always welcome!
Nursery (Ages 0-4)
Sundays from 9:00 - 12:00 pm and during some special services throughout the year
We love to hear the sound of children in worship, and we also recognize sometime parents need a break. We offer professionally staffed nursery care for infants and toddlers, and invite you to stay with them until they feel comfortable.
For 3-4 year olds, we will have Biblical storytime during services in the undercroft, with professional nursery care staff.
Our ushers will be happy to show you to our professionally staffed nursery.
Sunday School - Godly Play (K-5th Grade)
Sundays from 10:30am -11:15 | September 10, 2017-May 20, 2018
Our Sunday School uses a Montessori-based curriculum Godly Play to introduce our children to Biblical stories. We create a safe and beautiful space where children are respected as they see, hear and wonder about stories from the Bible or other aspect of our Episcopal tradition. Using hands-on materials and “wondering questions” to reflect on the story together, children then choose from a variety of materials—art supplies, building materials, books, etc —to make their own creative responses, and to help make the stories truly their own.
Sunday school begins in between services, allowing parents some coffee and conversation before worship. An usher or greeter would be happy to show you to the education space, and parents are always welcome to observe. Teachers will accompany the children to the sanctuary in time to join their families for Holy Communion.
