The Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter is excited to welcome our new Vicar, The Reverend Kim Seidman!

Originally from Texas, Kim is a graduate of Abilene Christian University, Candler School of Theology at Emory University, and Virginia Theological Seminary. Ordained to the priesthood in the Diocese of Virginia, her experiences at Christ Church and Grace Episcopal Church, both in Alexandria, as well as Saint Timothy's Episcopal Church in Herndon, have each played an integral role in preparing her to lead Holy Comforter.

Raised in the Churches of Christ, Kim is deeply grateful to her former tradition for introducing her to faith and instilling a deep love for Scripture. During the course of her theological studies, she explored expressions of Christianity and discovered her spiritual home in the Anglican tradition. Drawn to the beautiful liturgy and called to a sacramental ministry, she loves being an Episcopal priest.

Prior to seminary, Kim worked as the Development Director for a National Public Radio station in Texas, and served the former Colorado Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Love Kourlis at the University of Denver Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System.

Kim is married to Raj Chitikila, a senior analyst for the Government Accountability Office. In their free time, they enjoy the great outdoors: hiking, gardening, flyfishing and skiing.
