Meet the Vicar
The Reverend Dr Rod A
Moore
Father Rod comes to us after recently retiring from St
Stephen's Church in Aurora following 21 years of service there.
He has been an Episcopal priest for 31 years. Prior to coming to St
Stephen's in 1986, he had pastoral assignments in Nebraska at St. Elizabeth's,
Holdredge , St. Barnabus, Omaha, and St. Alban's, McCook.
Father Rod
grew
up on a farm near York, Nebraska and has BA and MS degrees in education from the
University of Nebraska. He was a school teacher for 9
years before attending Nashotah House Seminary in Wisconsin, where he
received a Master of Divinity degree in 1975. He also has a Doctor of
Ministry degree from Seabury-Western Seminary in Chicago, which he received in
2003.
He and his wife, Mary, have been married for over 40 years, and
have two adult children, James and Molly.
His other interests include
historical reading, travel, gardening, music, skiing,
and bicycling.
