Holy Comforter was founded in the basement of a home on Hemlock street in Broomfield in 1958. Over 50 years later, we have grown into a large parish family with members from throughout the Denver/Boulder area. In addition to our mission of outreach into the community and world to spread the good news of God's grace and love, we strive to foster a caring and supportive environment within the congregation. Perhaps you've seen one of our bumper stickers carrying the slogan "Holy Comforter: Where Church Feels Like Home". We take this slogan to heart by sharing in the joys and trials of each others' lives, and extending a warm welcome to the visitors that come through the doors each Sunday.

We are a family-friendly church, with a newly remodeled Sunday school building that hosts sunday school for children 3 and up every sunday, a play area in the parish hall, and a playground. Children are welcome during services, and Nursery for very young children is available each Sunday. We also have an active youth group for middle- and high-school aged children. Weddings and Baptisms for members and non-members alike are joyous occassions, and we encourage anyone interested to contact the church office for more information.

Holy Comforter has active groups invloved in music, outreach, hospitality, and Christian education, just to name a few. This visitor's pamphlet has been prepared to help summarize the many ongoing activities.
